Ini berawal ketika saya menerima dan membuka email saya sekitar pertengahan Mai 2009. Awalnya saya kurang yakin dengan email yang mereka kirim, dimana saya menerima lampiran Letter of Agreement beserta fasilitas-fasilitas yang sangat menggiurkan.

Berikut Kronologinya:
1. Ini format email yang pertama saya terima, yang saya agak heran adalah email ini saya terima bukan di "email masuk" tetapi adanya di "Spam":

2. Setelah saya pikir-pikir................ apa salahnya saya coba? lagian perusahaan ini perusahan internasional, setelah saya isi data sesuai yang diminta langsung saya email kembali.

Keesokan harinya saya menerima kembali email dari alamat email yang sama, berikut emailnya:

9. WORKING SCHEDULE; MONDAY - THURSDAY.

Note: The nature of your job, is the place of Senior Field supervisor,as right now our company is currently having a new Refinery Plant herein Malaysia, And since you will be the New Senior field supervisorevery foreign contractors here in Malaysia will have to report to you,so you can authorize the report to the united states of America, forwork previews.

You are to send us these documents:

A. A copy of Reference Letter.
B. Scanned copy of your International Passport.

The Documents should be provide to us through scan e-mail attachmentfor fast processing, because all the positions need expatriates whocan be able to start up employment on 10 June 2009, and all thearrangement need to be made as fast as possible. 1. Accomodation & Location -;

Be informed that you will be living /base in Sarawak, Malaysia, which is even more closer to office, If youtake this job offer. You will living alone with your Family if any ina duplet in Hlliburton Finest Estate Sarawak.

Note: The appartment is fully Furnished has every necessary requirments in it.

2. Nature of Job & Responsibilities-;
Your Job position is the placeof SENIOR FIELD SUPERVISOR
Responsibilities-;

(a.) Assist and support the company in getting reports from our newplant construction currently going on.

(b.) Get full details of reports from Sub-supervisor from every departments

(c.) If satisfied , With the presented reports or documents,Authorize and sign for approval But if not satisfied with the reportsor documents, Decline reports and documents for proper completion ofreports or documents.

(d.) Supervision must be done every duty time (Working Hours Only).

(e.) All reports must be sent to Hlliburton Oil & Gas Headquaters, in Unitedstates for international preview.

3. Work vacation-; Having your leave depends on when and what timeyou want it, as your leave / vacation can be accumlated for you tohave your vacation at the time you want. It must not be after 90 days,After 90 days, if you want you can have your leave but if not you canhave it when you really want.

4.Salary/ Payment-; Salaries are paid every month, Which indicationsthat your salary for a months is the total sum of $29,000.00 USD(Twenty Nine thousand United States Dollars). Pay Check must bereceived every 27th Day of the month with additional montly allowance($5,500.00 USD).

5.Contract Duration / Contract Re-newal -; After contract is overfor the duration of contract signed, we have alots of opportunity toeither renew contract with the company or become fully employed, butcertainly Halliburton has a good record of retaining Contractors/workers. Aswe are entitled to reduce Un employment around the world.

6. Airfare / Transportation-;

Note: Our company will help send to you an appointment & invitationletter to be send to the Malaysia Immigration contacts that will begiven to you. Our company wouldn't be responsible for visa/workpermit charges as this is clearly stated in the Letter of Agreement. But Immediately the Immigration visa / work permit isapproved, Hlliburton Oil & Gas Inc. will send Flight tickets, as notedalready Toyota Camry 2008 2.4G model in on standby upon employee'sarrival.

7. Reimbursement -; If it happens that Employee made any chargeson company's half, It's stated in company's policy , that employee/worker must be reimbursed with additional 10% of the total Fundsspent. So every Worker / employee is well guarantee of reimbursement.

8. Hospitality & Medical Aid -; Every employee working with Hallibuton Oilis entitle to Full health requirements, As there is always freeMedical Aid/Free hospitaly for employee & Family to ensure properhealth functions for our workers. Every Hospital Bills are beingtaking care of by Hlliburton Oil & Gas Inc.

9. Education –; Hallibuton provide free education for every employee's child/Children,

At the same time Hlliburton will help to give workers moretraining and further education of necessary.

Ini Lampiran "Letter of Agreement" yang saya terima:

3. Waw... dengan jabatan & Gaji yang sangat besar serta fasilitas LUX, siapun pasti akan tertarik dengan semua ini. Jangan-jangan semua ini benar itu yang ada dipikiran saya. Maka mulailah saya melengkapi semua persyaratan sesuai dengan yang mereka minta. Setelah berkas-berkasnya lengkap saya kembali email ke mereka dengan tidak lupa menanda-tangani Letter of Agreement-nya.

4. Sebenarnya keraguan masih menyelip dihati saya, soalnya apa benar ada perusahaan sekaliber HALLIBURTON yang pusat nya di USA menerima karyawan tanpa melalui proses/ prosedur yang umum dilakukan oleh perusahaan lain seperti : Test tertulis, Interview dan sebagainya.

5. Sambil menyiapkan berkas-berkas saya coba mendatangi Kedutaan Besar Malaysia di Jakarta, untuk menanyakan kepastian dan keaslian serta kebenaran dari semua ini. Tetapi jawaban dari pihak kedutaan tidak bisa menjawab secara pasti apa ini benar atau bukan.

6. Beberapa hari kemudian saya kembali menerima email dari mereka seperti berikut ini:

THis is to inform you that we received your pasport copy and all other documents and as Affirmation that your Experiences and Qualifications where found suitably qualified for the requirements of HALLIBURTON OIL & GAS COMPANY LIMITED(HALLIBURTON)PROJECT IN MALAYSIA We are forwarding to you as an attachment your letter of appointment. Kindly follow the instructions,this documents attached embodies the approved Terms for the purpose of this contract. Now,you have to contact the MALAYSIAN Immigration Service here in malaysia for the procurement of your Valid Visa and work/residence permit papers as we are having a contract with them for the easiest acquisition of employees necessary valid traveling document note that you have to send a copy of the official Appointment Letter document,your current Resume to malaysia Immigration Service to process urgent valid visa for you.

7. Walaupun hati kecil saya tidak yakin tetapi, Alhamdulillah....itulah kata-kata pertama yang terucap dibibir saya, berarti tidak sia-sia apa yang selama ini saya lakukan.

Dimana saya juga menerima lampiran, Letter of Invitation & Leter of Appoitment:

8. Melihat proses yang salama ini berjalan saya mulai agak yakin. Pertama, dikarenakan Cop Surat yang digunakan sangat meyakinkan. Kedua, Alamat perusahaannya pun benar dan sesuai.

9. Sesuai dengan permintaan mereka maka saya email berkas-berkas yang diperlukan ke pihak immigrasi malaysia sesuai dengan alamat email immigrasi malaysia yang mereka tulis.

10. Pada hari kamis ( hari libur nasional) saya mendapatkan telpon dari 60102902643, dimana dia meminta saya untuk segera mengurus semua aplikasi dan pengurusan Visa dimana dia telah meng-email kesaya form Visa Aplication dan segera menyelesaikan segala administrasinya, sebelum keberakatan ke malaysia. Sebelum menutup pembicaraan saya tanya ini siapa? dia katakan adalah dari Bar. Najib Mohamed (Halliburton Oil&Gas Malaysia).

11. Disini timbul kembali kecurigaan dari saya, kenapa dia sangat ingin sekali dan meminta saya segera menyelesaikan semuanya dan meminta saya membayar dan mengirim sesuai instruksi dia. Kedua, kenapa bukan dari pihak imigrasi malaysia yang toh semua berkas sudah saya kirim. "Ada sesuatu yang tidak beres disini" itu kata hati saya.

12. Keesokan harinya, saya menerima email dari immigration.services_govt@yahoo.com.my sebagai berikut:

Adapun lampiran VISA Aplication & Form Immgration Department :

11. Setelah saya baca dan pelajari berarti kecurigan yang selama ini berarti benar suatu penipuan. Dimana saya harus membayar sejumlah uang untuk biaya pengurusan Visa dan segala macamnya. Kalau secara logika mana mungkin pihak imigrasi malaysia akan langsung melampirka biaya sebesar itu minimal mereka akan memberitahu ke saya persyaratan apa dan berapa biaya yang diperlukan.

12. Untuk membuktikan ini saya coba membuka situs resmi imigrasi malaysia di http://www.imi.gov.my/, dimana di web tersebut semua penjelasan tentang tata cara pengurusan visa dan sebagainya ada di web tersebut dilengkapi dengan besaran biaya yang diperlukan untuk mengurus visa dan ijin tinggal di malaysia.

Berikut contoh Tata cara yang berlaku, yang saya ambil dari situs/web resmi Imigrasi Malaysia:

13. Rasa penasaran saya pun belum hilang sehingga saya mencoba mencari melalui web http://www.goolge.com/, dan http://www.yahoo.com/, mengenai Lowongan Haliburton Malaysia dan Penipuan-penipuan yang pernah terjadi yang mengatas namakan Haliburton.

14. Sungguh diluar dugaan saya rupanya sudah banyak orang yang tertipu oleh lowongan pekerjaan ini dan banyak komentar-komentar yang mengatakan mereka sudah kena dan ada yang sudah sempat membayar dan sebagainya.

15. Setelah saya baca dan cari-cari informasi di internet penipuan ini disebut "SCAM" dan orang yang melakukannya disebut "SCAMMER",

Dimana Modus Operandinya adalah: "Dengan mencuri data-data yang ada di semua web resmi terutama perusahaan-perusahan besar yang pernah membuka lowongan kerja secara online dan mencuri data-data, terutama CV pelamar dari situs/web pencari kerja. Setelah mereka mendapatkan itu semua mulailah mereka beraksi dengan mengirim ke semua email yang mereka dapat dan seolah-olah itu benar-benar dari perusahan yang sedang membutuhkan karyawan/pekerja. biasanya email itu kita terima bukan di email masuk tetapi tersimpan di Spam. ( Sesuai dengan apa yang saya alami diatas).

Demikianlah sedikit pengalaman saya, mudah mudahan bermanfaat buat yang membacanya terutama sekali buat orang/ rekan-rekan yang sedang mencari pekerjaan melalui internet. Mulailah berhati-hati dan mudah-mudahan anda tidak terjebak didalamnya. Amin!!!!!!
